maybe we should go back in time...

it is a long time ago that i read a book!

Kristin and her husband Mark use their savings to buy a neglected farm with 200 hectares of land. They do not use chemical pesticides, work with horses instead of tractors and milk the cows by hand. They provide a hundred people all year round with everything they need to eat healthily: meat, eggs, milk, grains, flour, vegetables and fruit. When Kristin met her husband, she was still living in New York, and she has a lot to learn to settle in the countryside. But one lesson is more radical than any other: just as you as a farmer change the land by working it, the farming life changes you. It crawls under your skin, like the earth settles in the grooves of your hands. Kristin learns how satisfying arduous physical work can be, learns that good food is the foundation of a good life, and finds the connection and security she so longed for.
