Swing has Swung

A small local enterprise, Farrinheight, who usually have a stall on the bi-monthly Farmers Market selling delicious home-made vegetarian foods, have circulated a 'menu' by email, advertising what they are still able to make (ingredients have been a problem, of course) available for collection or delivery.

For our sins, we're not vegetarians but do try to limit our meat consumption. It helps that, for both of us these days, with dubious mass production systems etc, chicken tastes like pork tastes like turkey tastes like chicken tastes like nothing. However, whenever we eat vegetarian foods prepared by better chefs than ourselves, it's invariably delicious.

We put our order in and I went the long way round to pick it up as my walk for the day. Another smashing spring day. The cherry blossom on a nearby park was in glorious display. So sad, though, to see the swing frames standing empty, their seats and chains having been removed at the start of the lockdown. The verges are getting a little unkempt too - the extra is a view  of the iconic Symington's building, from one such.
