Lancelot

I've called this stone in the stone circle Lancelot because he feels like the knight in the circle and I usually feel I have to check in with him first before entering. He looks like a green man too, frozen in time, or a Greek god's head (or a bull or ram I guess). Anyway, he'll have seen a lot over the years and puts the notion of our lives and understanding any kind of meaning into perspective.

A slumber did my spirit seal;
I had no human fears:
She seem'd a thing that could not feel
The touch of earthly years.

No motion has she now, no force;
She neither hears nor sees;
Roll'd round in earth's diurnal course
With rocks, and stones, and trees.

(... good ol' Wordsworth sums it up pretty well)
