Tail end

Most of my daffodils are long gone but in a sudden urge to paint one l found a few of these beauties out in the garden.  They smell absolutely divine.  I have never found painting daffodils very easy because yellow is such a difficult colour to work with but l enjoyed these today.  
This afternoon has brought the first rain for ages... gentle, gentle rain that has been falling for an hour or so but when l walked l noticed that the ground below the trees is still dry... still it is lovely to have that damp smell again.. and the garden will be soaking it up.
It's the weekend!!!  (thought l would remind you as each day just now feels a bit like a weekend!)
