It's been a fine day

Heard a distant Willow Warbler today, so things are gradually pushing north.  Jackdaws are nesting in the cliffs this year; they are getting along fine with the ravens.  Planted more tatties, leeks, peas, carrots, onions and fed the asparagus.  Edged the borders and dug in the perennial border.   There’s nothing else for it.

My mother reminded me today about the time I asked Lintonby Gore for his autograph at Dufftown Highland games.  Only my second autograph, the first was Tessie O’Shea at the Beach Ballroom, which I don’t remember.

It can’t be all laughs on the Larbert bus.
