The strange things we see

Was out for our daily allowed exercise and walked past my old high school. Was very surprised to see this in one of the school windows facing the main road.

A bit of research when I got home, I like flags, showed it to be a German Empire Marine Jack. So it's probably a history classroom. I'm guessing they were studying WW1 but....... It looks like an earlier Marine Jack of the period 1871-1903. Similar but not quite right.
