Sitting Pretty

My special needs brother, whose home has been in lockdown since way before we arrived in the UK, asked us to visit so he could give us the Easter eggs he'd bought us. So we bundled the kids into the car; he wanted to see them as well; he often ate dinner at theirs on a Sunday. We exchanged eggs on the driveway, with the kids in the car. He's missing his friends and activities, but seemed in good spirits, and watching old Cup Finals; he's football mad.

Then decided to walk nearby, for a change from Rectory Park. Every public park was closed, but we walked a way by this canal, until we realized we weren't really meant to. Still, maybe because of the rainy weather, we only crossed paths once with three lads on bicycles, where we pressed ourselves into the hedge, and Allegra got stung by nettles.

Heck, it was good to see something different! And I've always loved the canals round here.

Gratefuls:
- a change of scenery, and what beautiful scenery it was
- a dryer for the clothes when it's raining
- fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce delivered to the door, and eaten on Zoom with Geoff and Hélène
