Our walk

Hubby's tablet was playing up so we decided to walk round to the local telephone computer kiosks.   We have a favourite kiosk, the owner confirmed hubby's fears that a new battery was  needed, it was going to cost 1200bht, it would be ready for collection at 6.30pm, the time was 12.30.  As promised it was ready for picking up at 6.30.   My shot is of the area where the kiosks are,  it is normally very busy.

Once again we played silly games with our Chinese friend.  I joined in.  It culminated with us cooling our feet in the pool, a bit of gentle splashing increased and we all ended up very wet.  Work on getting the pool ready to reopen continues, hopefully it will be open by the end of next week.

We have an alcohol ban in place, it was supposed to be for ten days but has been extended to the end of the month.  The 10pm - 4 am curfew is still in place.  Getting accurate figures is getting harder but figures released on Friday for Thailand were :-

33 new cases bringing the total to 2733, 1787 people have recovered and 47 are deceased.

The figures for Chiang Mai since January are :-

Cases 40 with only 4 new cases in the past 4 days.  Most have recovered with only 1 death being reported in January.

Bangkok and surrounding area still appears to be the worst effected, but even there the spread is slowing.

Stay safe.
