Flowering Dogwood

The dogwoods have been coming into full bloom the last couple days. This is an old one in the corner of our yard. It was another sunny, blue sky day, cool and perfect for spring. I headed out grocery shopping pretty early, one trip for Ed and another for us after the first was delivered. The store was surprisingly uncrowded for a Sunday. Then spent time outdoors, trimming & edging while W. mowed, weeding, planting, and generally playing in the garden. Made pesto for dinner using heaps of oregano and parsley from here and basil paste from the store.

My stepdad appears to be ok today after some minor surgery last night. Hope you all have a good week - stay safe and well.
