Forced Rhubarb

Today is a practical image for a change.My Dad has always had a veg garden but for the last couple of months has not been well enough to go outside.He mentioned the box he puts over the Rhubarb to 'force' its growth at this time of year,needed repair.Well that was an understatement .I mentioned the idea of a 'bin' or something ,he wasn't keen so I looked it up online and anything the right size works.
So a friendly local donated a plastic 'barrel' the size of a water butt and I cut it in half and removed the bottom on this half to make two.This one has a wood lid I made to keep it good and dark inside.
Looking forward to some lovely Rhubarb!
