EARLY ONE MORNING JUST AS THE SUN WAS RISING

So often on the way to work I have spotted the sun rising behind a bare winter stand of trees, and have itched to take a picture, but it is along the main road with nowhere to pull in and park. This morning the sun was coming up behind another row of trees, this time along the lane, so with a bit of reversing I could get off the road. The sky was really a pale blue but this is how it came out of the camera. A minute later and I would have missed it.

The rain is now lashing down as forecast and I am glad I have a full set of waterproofs and boots to don before trudging across town to the car park. Though I still think I may be rather sodden before I get home.
