Cornish Broccoli

Cauliflower in the rest of the country!
These are cut in the winter in Cornwall. This one is not beautiful enough for the supermarket , but good enough for my blip and to eat for supper!
I am told my grandfather introduced this crop into Cornwall early last century. I met a man who told me that as a child, I imagine in the 1920s, he was taken by his father to see this new crop my grandfather had introduced. It is grown very widely now, but by larger conglomerates rather than small farmers.
