River crossing

The sun is shining and the river is low enough to cross into Pocket Park from our side of the village without wellies, thank-you to whoever made these stepping stones.

There was no small degree of excitement on our way to Pocket Park this morning when we saw a hawk sitting on the roof of a house in Finchams Way.  I snuck up quietly with my zoom lens to get a close up and rather smugly bagged my blip.  However, the hawk was still on the same spot on our return journey and the photo development showed, what by now was obvious, that he was a fake (see extra).
