Day 35 - Tommy Cooper

Day 35 - Nice trip to Chiswick via Isleworth and Syon Park to the house where Tommy Cooper(1921-1984), the comedian lived. He started doing magic tricks when he was 8 and started performing while a trooper in the Royal Horse Guards as he was in the NAAFI entertainment party. When performing in Cairo he was meant to be wearing a pith helmet in a sketch but having forgotten it he borrowed a fez from a passing waiter which got huge laughs ... hence why he then wore it in his act. After many successful TV shows he collapsed and died from a heart attack on live TV during a variety show on stage in the West End.

- tidied plants on the balcony
