The New Normal

Wednesday is Tesco shopping day. When I dress is something other than joggers and vest top! And put on ear rings and my rings! there was a queue at 11am but moving quickly with the one in one out with 50 in the shop at a time. Folks were following the rules which was good as it’s a more relaxing experience. Didn’t have long to wait in the queue at the back of the store for the tills either. Took an hour altogether.

Went up to drop mum’s shopping off and a little chat . Picked up her washing as the machines at the complex still haven’t been fixed.

Afternoon was gardening (again) . Couple of packages arrived and the postie/delivery place the item on your doorstep, ring the bell then step back when you answer.

Met Kristina one of our neighbours with her three kids going out on line skating to the school grounds. We had quite a long chat and it was good to speak to someone other than the usual folks.

Got a call from the Council this afternoon as i filled in a willing to volunteer form a couple of weeks ago. They asked if I would be willing to pick up and take a prescription to a vulnerable person as well as do a leaflet drop in my area. My area is being coordinated by the Baptist Church so will await the call. seemingly they have had over 900 new volunteers which is good to hear.
