Mister Mysterious

Today we have the Brown Thrasher dashing about the berm underneath the pines.
If you read about this bird you might find them described as ‘elusive’, ‘’shy’, and ‘tough to spot’ as they often stay hidden in the deep underbrush.
But that’s not the case with our friend here. He is often seen right out in the open running, yes I said “running” around. They are perfectly wonderful flyers but they seem to enjoy running.
This guy will come right up by our back windows and since they are notorious diggers, we frequently find mulch scattered all over the patio since he flung it around.
The cats love to watch the Brown Thrashers.

I also really like their bright yellow eyes!
