Trucking Thursday....

Dry again ! I wonder if the lack of aeroplanes and traffic is helping the weather ?
A lorry in next door to collect cull ewes and tups for the mart at Stirling. Then a lorry in here to pick up the 17 heifers we have sold . They are heading to Aberdeenshire. He had two decks of sheep on already and the cattle went straight on to the bottom deck.
Then the long awaited load of nitrogen fertiliser arrived in - dead on lunch time. He had picked it up at Ayr and due to lock down  and no traffic , made it here in record time !
Once he was unloaded , I grabbed a quick late lunch then got my co pilot and managed to get the fertiliser spread on the last field of spring barley .
Started to mix slurry tonight in the slatted shed , but it is far too thick so will need to go on to plan B and add water and start again.
Another beautiful sunset tonight, but didn’t get round to taking a photo, so a Woodhead’s artic full of cattle and sheep will need to do !
