Now we are three!

Meet Ivy!  She was dropped off this morning (social distancing observed at all times in the garden!) after an amazing five days in which our request to a breeder we were told about who lives almost locally (in the vain hope that she might know of any puppies needing to be homed during lockdown) resulted in her picking up this little lady who had gone to a new owner a month ago.  Sadly, for whatever reason, the original owner couldn't cope with her and asked for her to be collected.  The breeder called us on Monday to tell us the story and asked if we were still interested......

When she collected the puppy she found she was very, very thin so obviously something had gone wrong somewhere.  Anyway, she has kept her at her home for the past four days during which Ivy has slept and slept, eaten for England and generally become a very happy puppy with no sign of aggression at all, which was one of the reasons the previous owner said was a problem.

You can imagine how thrilled we are (see extra).  It's a dream come true - not only is she a whippet bitch, which is what we really wanted, but she is also a sort of rescue dog too.

Obviously our lives will now change dramatically and already a whole morning has gone by with us doing nothing more than puppy watching!  The friend who gave us the breeder's name is Adora's mother so in fact Ivy is Adora's niece!  That will be a fun meeting when the world gets back to normal.
