Purple Hyacinth (false color full sprectrum)

These are solid deep purple hyacinths. They were photographed full spectrum, including IR, visible light and UV. This picture is dominated by the UV portion of the spectrum. The flowers have patterning visible in UV by bugs. Basically, the flowers are patterned with landing stripes to guide the bug into better pollinate the flower.

While the plants are no longer green leaved and solid purple flowered, the dirt is very close to the same as it appears in visible light.

Today I give thanks for the day I was given, cool water, dear friends, and photography which continues to teach me how to see.
