Day 115/20. Now I'm happy.....

I'm happy today. Out in the sunny garden today and the first Damselflies of the summer were flitting around by our pond. And mating by our pond also.......
This is early, but not exceptionally early, and is due to the recent warm and sunny weather bringing them out early.
These are Large Red Damselflies, about 30mm head to tip, and are very common in the UK. The main picture is a male, the extra picture is a female (they are much more difficult to photograph), and a pair mating.
The males are very aggressive, investigating other passing insects, and driving off other males.
But the first have arrived...I'm happy.
