Sunset over The Trossachs

A neighbour told me this evening she heard from a friend in Edinburgh who  rang her to say she had been ordered back indoors by a policeman- “ and she was only going out to buy some milk and a paper.”

My brother in Wales reminded me tonight on the phone that he had been at the Royal Gwent hospital  (a hotpot for the virus), Newport a week before lockdown for an eye operation.
“There were no precautions in place except to wash your hands and we were all sitting  close together in a very crowded waiting room.”

He knows several people who have already died from the virus.
So they are taking the lockdown very seriously only leaving the farm once a week for groceries.

Certainly Wales seems to have been more badly affected than Scotland and I attribute that to the better health care system we have north of the border.
