Photographing shadows makes me happy

An uppy and downy day. Started great, plummeted, gradually leveled out, now just feel very sad. 

Spoke to my brother this evening, he'd had a phone chat with a mental health consultant on dad's ward. It looks like he might be detained under section 3 when his 28 days expire, which means they can keep him there for up to 6 months :'( Poor dad. Old age shouldn't be like this. It has upset me a lot.
