Delusions of purple grandeur

On my way to a meeting tonight (a focus group on electoral fraud, of all things) I spotted this fancy lighting.

It's a bed and breakfast, sorry a guest house, sorry again - it's the Capital Residence Boutique Hotel. It's not in one of the posher parts of town, so I guess it has to draw attention to itself somehow. Though I can't help feeling the purple floodlights are a bit OTT.
