Lockdown biscuits

I searched the recipe books this morning for something I could make without eggs and without plain flour. I found a recipe for Buttercrunch in the wonderful WI Book of Biscuits. It uses self-raising flour, rolled oats, butter, Golden Syrup and Demerara sugar. Easy to make and easy to eat. I’ve put some in the freezer.
Now our kind shopping lady has made a delivery and this time she was able to find both eggs and plain flour.
