Duck and ducklings

There were actually three ducklings travelling along the edge of the river but this photograph only shows two.  I dread to think what this white soapy stuff is that they are swimming in but there were plenty of birds about.  I took a detour in my walk this morning and had a look at the water because I have been missing it, the whole thing, the sound of the water, the birds flying about, there is always something different to look at.
