There must be young

There have been quite a few blackbirds digging for worms etc in the field and for the last few days they have been flying away with mouth fulls so there must be some hungry mouths to feed.I think there must be at least three families, one in the gorse bush opposite , one at the bottom of the garden and one further down the burn. This handsome fellow landed on the fence just long enough to get a few photos.
The horses provided a great view this morning One had chosen a nice sunny spot to relax.
The siskins are back so that means the feeders will empty quickly.
Lots of courtship feeding from all the tit families. I think one of the blue tits is now staying on eggs as they are out and about less.
Had a video call with my Mum and Dad, we’ll be sticking to the phone in the future as it hurts my Dads eyes too much to look at the screen and he ended up with a headache.
The Courgettes and chives are up , no sign of the pumpkins yet.
A cloudy day with a few spots of rain which did not even wet the decking so still had to water in the evening , although I have just remembered a tip so should be watering in the morning to avoid providing a perfect environment for slugs and snails.I’ve also started watering my seedlings from the bottom instead of from the top, specially for the more delicate ones.
Got some ideas for making bird scarers so will have a go at making them.Only want to scare them away from the veg patch though ;)
Dobbies are taking orders online so have ordered some more seeds and Summer Bulbs. We’ll see how long it takes to arrive but something to look forward.
Last night we could see bright lights under the bridge which kept changing colours from blue, to red to white etc. We found out this morning that there was a light show which lit up the bridge which looked very impressive, I hope they do it again sometime :)
