Unbelievably this magnificent white heron flew into our garden today - only a brief visit to check out the birdbath for possible fish, but incredibly exciting and an event that probably won’t ever happen again. 

Within minutes he took flight and landed on the roof of our garden shed. As seen in my main blip. The extra shows the extended neck while checking out the neighbouring property and then crouched low for imminent takeoff.





Thank you for your response yesterday to the ICM of the anemone against the blue of the autumn sky - we had quite different conditions today!
