Kings Day

Today is Kings Day in the Netherlands, a national holiday. Usually celebrating everywhere, busy cities and towns. Not today. Today we celebrate from home. At 10 in the morning our national anthem was on TV, followed by a short speech by the King, portrayed with his family in front of their home.

Nevertheless the streets are decorated, the flags are out and we eat delicious orange treats.

Early on I was out for my morning walk. By 10 AM I was ready to watch the King and his family. The rest of the day was spent mostly on my balcony.
