Lathyrus Odoratus

Brimstone

Butterfly numbers were down today and only five species came through: Orange Tip, Brimstone, Peacock, Comma and Small Heath. I did see another stoat on my morning walk but again I failed to photograph it. Late afternoon I spotted this backlight Brimstone ("Le citron" in France) nectaring on bluebells. I've only ever seen the larger butterflies (Large White,Peacock, Red Admiral and Brimstone) doing this.
