Pitlochry in Bloom

Today, as forecast, it rained which meant I could spend the day indoors working on my family tree. I am currently focusing on the family of my paternal grandmother and succeeded in resolving a couple of brick walls, including restoring one distant  cousin to his rightful parents (I had wronglt assumed he was the son of another brother).

It brightened up later so I headed out for a walking which took me past the locked gates of the Atholl Palace Hotel. I was pleased to see that the statue has not only had its pram restored (it was being repaired last year) but that it is filled with tulips.

Last night as part of our "theatre nights in", we watched Northern Ballet's production of 1984 and very good it was too.
