Puzzling

I inherited this cushion when Dad downsized a couple of years ago. The design is a tangram puzzle which he created and Mum made. The outer border fabric was offcuts of the curtains on their landing, but prior to that I remember it being in the coffer in the hall (Mum's stash) and living the colours and design. For me, patchwork is all about the fabrics and if they have a tale to tell it's even better.

The chair was cheap as chips from a local auction house in Surrey. We used to go and browse and nearly always found something at a ridiculous price. Its pokerwork decoration is now rather faint but still pretty.

It has rained today and the garden looks happier for it. Me too; now I don't need to water the seeds!
