Avian Vandalism!

Another pleasant day; and with rain forecast for Tuesday we made sure of a walk.  We returned to find two plant pots of succulents ripped apart!.

I first suspected some blackbirds that had been hanging about. (A merle?). However I now believe the perpetrator was a wood pigeon.

I don't know if it was looking for food or moisture; but this hasn't happened before.  However, as my better half pointed out, this has been the first time in over thirteen years that there hasn't been a dog (Bentley) in our garden in the spring :(
