Brown Hare

In Orkney, it can be difficult photographing hares because of the lack of cover, there are few walls and hedges, so they see you coming from miles away, usually. This one, however, was on Kirkwall golf course which does have areas of gorse etc. I saw it loping my way and was able to use the gorse to hide me as it came along.  The gorse is also good for seeing linnets, goldfinches etc.
