As never before our Pieris this year is covered with these white bells as well as the expected red leaf tips.  It is blooming its heart out to brighten up our days.

Better still, I have just discovered it is a member of the heather family.  Who knew?  Last night's rain has done it the world of good: it was looking very tired before.
