Almost..

stood on this monarch butterfly which was laying on the path.  I felt so sad to see it there. It was quite small but the colours were bright as though it had just emerged from its chrysallis.  It is late in the year for the butterflies now and although it looked perfect maybe it just didn't have the strength to fly.  It is now laying on a little mirror.
