Birds and Planes...

...do not go well together. But today, of course, there were no planes -but, plenty of birds. We walked along the shore of the Mersey through habitat that was abundant with whitethroat and saw 5 different species of warblers: chiffchaff, willow warbler, sedge and grasshopper warbler, and finally in this reed bed under the gantry that holds the lights to guide planes  if they approach the runway over the Mersey, reed warblers. A splendid "one form of exercise".
