Visit from Special Branch

After the success of the previous day, it was an early start to allow Stevie and his boys access to get started on some serious pruning of the sycamore. They completed it in a couple of hours, and off they went to the next job. Apparently they’ve never been busier - all these people stuck at home are suddenly noticing the trees that need attention.
So, a spring in the step to have a look at removing that old masthead light. Clearly some reaction happens to bond steel machine screws into aluminium as there was no way they were shifting. Out with the angle grinder. And the nephew popped along awhile no talk - he’d been to drop off a present at the daughter’s. It was really rather hot in the sun and pleasant to sit there overlooking the harbour, even when Joe rolled up and joined in the chat.
First of May! And apparently the testing target has been hit. Quite amusing how a totally arbitrary number becomes the point of a futile debate. For weeks: they’re not going to make the target! We’re going to make the target! I mean, where the 100,000 target came from, I have no idea. It looks like a suspiciously round number to me. But only if counting to base 10 obviously.
