Prisoner 24601

Sunday Exposure

Sunday music for the soul - Pink Floyd.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond is just a masterpiece of musical talent - I love the track. All nine parts.

But my favourite song by the Floyd has to be Comfortably Numb. That guitar solo by Dave Gilmour is haunting.

Roger Waters, David Gilmore, Richard Wright and Nick Mason played together on stage for the first time in 24 years at Live 8 in 2005.

I watched the performance at the time with my jaw gaping. It was wonderful.

Comfortably Numb was beautifully performed.

Dark Side Of The Moon’s track ‘Time’ is very apt for these strange days.

“Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain.
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.”

In other news, our BluRay DVD player has decided to give up working. A real blow for evening TV watching.

It’s 11 years old and Samsung (the manufacturer of our particular model) no longer make them and a quick Google of the problem causing the grief is that a repair would not be cost effective.

So many box sets, sooo much time!
