Peony Surprise

Sunday. No sun! But no rain either so can't complain!

Another day at home! So more garden pottering - rediscovering pots of dahlias that I'd put at the back of the borders at the end of last year and delighted to see a few shoots on them already so they made it through the rain ok! Most of the tulips have finished flowering now too so i've had to move those in pots out of the way to die back.

Also discovered this tree peony flower - it has been hidden by another plant that went a little mad so when I started to cut that back this lovely peony flower appeared! a lovely surprise!

Lots of starling action in the garden today - where have they all come from?! I think I'm going to need extra bird seed and raisins on the shopping list this week to keep up with them!
