Dales Way

Haven't done a long walk for a while, the sun has come back, 10 km circular walk from home:-  Cappelrigg Lane, Ashes Lane, Dales Way- all bridleways - people, bikes and farmers on quad bikes, then Chapel Lane back home but even Chapel Lane does not get that much vehicle traffic because it has gates.   Lots of signs here warning you of virus transfer on gates, the cattle and aggressive cows with calves.  They would rather we didn't walk here but it's the Dales Way, a popular long distance path. I nearly sought an alternative route until I realised the cows were penned in by an electric fence. 17,000 paces.

Got home and made a carrot cake.

 Day 45
Sunday, always a low death reporting day- 315 deaths up to 28,446.

Texas has opened up its beaches and New York is handing out face masks. Austria has reopened shops, We've got to wait  until Thursday for news on relaxation in the UK.  Madagascar is touting an herbal tonic cure for Covid-19. It's made from the artemisia plant which is used to treat malaria. They have not had any deaths but they've had only had a few cases.  Worlds statistics are available on WorldOMeter where you  can sort by the different columns but  comparisons are difficult because reporting is not consistent.
