Da Baw o Eid

A beautiful sunny morning, and then clouded over by lunch.  Some sunny spells in the afternoon, with a beautiful sunny evening.  Sunset is now 21.15.  Warm in the sun, but that breeze remains cold.

Up early and a day around the house.  After all the garden work, the house was needing attention today, so a day of cleaning and chores.  I nipped down to mam's in the afternoon with some errands.  I saw two Tirricks (Arctic Terns) while out walkies tonight, and that truly is a sound of summer.  Neglected my jigsaw for a while, so a busy night ahead.

There's been a lot of big ebbs this year, and today was one of them.  The Baw o Eid (Aith) is a huge lump of rock, either been a higher bit of ground once, or possibly a huge sea stack.  It's rarely seen, apart from when a wave surge reveals it, before battering it again, but always a motion around it.  I would love to be able to dive, and go under and see what lies around the seabed here, maybe the odd old boat and more.  Looking to the Baw o Eid, with Helliness in the background, Cunningsburgh.
