Another Perspective

Same carnage as yesterday, different angle. Here you can more clearly make out that it is some type of alien pod that has attacked the plant. Perhaps the seed for this
monster.

Different lens too. I used the Nikon 18-70mm (kit) lens today, an ancient Telesor 80-200mm yesterday that is so old it does not fully work with the D70. Autofocus is of course out, but so too is through the lens light metering. That means I have to guess and check the results on the LCD and correct then try again. Not as bad as it sounds.
