Learning Letters

To show that we don't just walk round the Park for our homeschool, though it was very beautiful today. We learnt to identify white poplars (there are all sizes of them in the Park) and Scots pines, of which there are some grand old examples. Then, after lunch (and a nap for the teachers), we write up what we learnt in our Nature diaries, and stick in pine needles, bits of bark, and cone.

On the board, we are practising our letters; a letter made correctly wins the writer a mini marshmallow. I know they'll probably do most of their writing on computers, but I'm old fashioned enough to think it's worth learning legible handwriting.

Gratefuls:
- a beautifully sunny day, though with a cold wind
- fun round the dinner table
- all the residents of Paul's Home still being free of Covid-19, and the carers who tested positive, all recovering
