Lockdown Day 44 - Red Mason Bee (male)

The butterfly was a no-show today so don't know if has moved on or fallen victim to a bird.  According to an 'expert' it was an aberrant form with far more yellow than normal.

Instead I have a different insect on offer:- a male red mason bee, Osmia bicornis which was taking a rest on my Pittosporum. I have seen several around and think they are living in the old sandstone wall that surrounds the garden.
