A long lie!!!

Another lovely start to the day, but I did sleep in a bit.
Not up until 5.30 a.m.
Our cat, Mittens, caught a young chaffinch this afternoon.
Fortunately, I managed to rescue her before there was any damage so I removed Mittens right away and released the wee beauty.
The parents were “whooping” as a danger signal.
I hope she survives
