Welcome shade.

Sunshine in May and June can be quite fierce in Scotland, so the parasol was brought down from winter storage in the loft. It makes the place look different. My wife read a bit and we had lunch outside. Some garden work needs doing soon.

The parasol and blue sky sadly reminded me we were meant to be in Majorca just now. I’d been so looking forward to it, going to a place we know well. But it’s not to be. To be true I was relieved when TUI cancelled our holiday. I read the Majorca Daily Bulletin some days - their tourist industry is decimated as expected.

I’d a wee look at the Scottish Government’s dialogue platform: place to share your ideas on how to tackle challenges facing Scotland. Some interesting requests and suggestions for just a bit of easement, (and some stupid comments). We’re aware the First Minister has again intimated today no change here in the immediate future (U.K. announcement tomorrow).

We three walked the first bit of yesterday’s walk, (son couldn’t come then), up across the fields. Quiet. We varied the 2nd half; still not repeating walks - we’re lucky.

Family FaceTime this evening. Older son has been busy online at work, fiancé a bit less so.
