Culra

Culra Bothy is in the distance, nestled in at the bottom of three remote Munros.
On my way to this part of the site a huge bird rose from the loch edge on my right, a massive raptor, too big for a buzzard, getting closer even too big for a golden eagle leaving only one possibility.
As the bird disappeared from site  the head stalker rumbled round the corner in his Toyota pick up slowed and stopped. I have dealt with R before. He is a very helpful man and passionate about the Pattack wildlife.
His window came down:
"Did you see it, the White Tailed Sea Eagle?" My own bird identification being immediately confirmed. He obviously knew of the raptor's presence here but was still excited at the close display.

Earlier in the morning on the estate road approach we* spotted a stunning small bright yellow chested bird. It was a grey wagtail. Even the RSPB note the slight irony in this bird's naming given the intense yellow plumage. It had a red flag against it suggesting it is in the threatened category.
*We; the survey team being Mrs SJR and myself.

An extra of the river carrying the Ben Alder snow melt.
