Ink and Gesso

I've been working in the pottery for the past 3 - 4 days, and realised i missed painting.   but i felt so unmotivated to set up my oil and cold wax stuff....then i remembered how much i loved doing this type of start to a pastel painting!!!!    so this is the 'activating' stage.....i'll start working on it over the next few days with pastels!   and what i've always loved about pastels is there is no clean up....zero!!!

It's been cold and miserable here today, even snowed for gods sake!!! when will it end.   actually there is some blue sky out there as i type!
