Lifting Team

Mum took a tumble today but the marvellous Lifting Team were here from their Astley Ainslie base in 20 minutes. They brought their magical Raizer chair and she was soon back on her feet and demonstrating the continuing functionality of her replacement hips. Whether she will refrain from rushing around and trying to spin on a sixpence remains to be seen.

These are two OT nurses redeployed to this service while their usual work is closed down during the COVID crisis. They were lovely: kind, careful, and obviously coping well with their new work.

We are very, very fortunate to live in a country with an NHS, and with a system that can adjust to the current challenges.

So, enormous thanks to all our health workers and the systems that support them.
