The Flower Moon

May full moon is called the Flower Moon.

Every month has a full moon and they all have different names. January was the Wolf Moon, February was the Snow Moon, March was the Worm moon and April the Pink Moon and so on. if a year has 13 full moons its called the Blue moon, hence the saying once in a blue moon.

I managed to get this pic because it was still light and the street light hadn't come on yet.

On Friday we are having a VE day street party (with a difference) we are all sitting in our own front gardens with sandwiches or whatever takes your fancy, from 12 till 1 , and someone is setting up music on a loud speaker so we can all sing songs (probably wartime type ones) plus we shall be decorating our houses with flags etc. sounds odd but I'm sure we will have a good laugh. The weather is looking good anyway if the forecast is correct.

I managed to get my two wall baskets planted up today. Plus a visit to the farm shop, we stocked up on dog biscuits, bird food and a bag of compost as well. They are running it quite well, only one in the shop any large items they get for you and take it to your car, only card payment too.

Thats it for now, so off to bed.
